    1) There are flights from Manchester, NH to Baltimore, MD for about 150$ (Flying to DC from Manchester costs an additional 100$). It is just 45 miles from Washington, DC. I have read in one of the postings that there are trains from Baltimore to DC Central. We can book hotels in DC through Priceline.

    2) If we have enough people, we may be able to drive to DC (rent a bus or a minibus from Boston) But it is at least a 10 hour drive. That means we may have to take at least half the day off on Wednesday as well. We can then start back Thursday evening itself.

    It makes sense to book hotels together as it will give us a better chance to prepare for the rally.

    I hope more people come forward. I know this is a difficult thing to do. But it is necessary.

    There are so many IV members from in and around Massachusetts and only one other has volunteered so far!

    My current reporting structure with my employer is:
    Client -> Prime Vendor -> Consultant X -> My employer

    Another consultant is ready to transfer my visa and the reporting structure there is

    Client -> Prime Vendor -> My employer

    A prime vendor (not the same client) is also ready to transfer my visa

    Client -> My employer


    I am planning to transfer it to either (or both) of the above two companies. Will there be a problem in those two companies filing for a tranfer at (approx) the same time?

    Is there a way I can ask an attorney directly (I am willing to pay for that service)

    Why do you want to transfer to both companies same time? If so, how can you work for both companies same time.

    My friend will come from India on H1B first time to Atlanta Air port this weekend. His H1B was approved for year 2008 and his stamping was done in early 2009. His H1B is from small desi consulting company. What kind of questions he may face? Any inputs will highly appreciated.

    Yes, it is possible to process your GC through company B while you are working for company A.

    1. You should have "good faith intention" to work for company B permanently once your GC is approved.
    2 Company B should have good faith intention to hire you permanently once GC is approved
    3. An RFE is likely during I 140 process and also during I 485. Company B should be able to respond to RFEs promptly and favorably. Also they may ask company B to show "ability to pay" for the new position and also the business necessity for the new position. These two RFEs are less likely if you are currently working for GC sponsoring employer at the time of I 140 or 485 adjudication (as that would be a defacto evidence that your position is needed and company can pay!).

    I checked with attorney and I believe that is true, PP for H1b is not carried over on RFE reply. Response to RFE will go in a regular queue for evaluation. But, I hope this is not the case.

    Yes, I read in forums RFE's and 221g both have become more regular these days.

    If you apply in PP, you will receive an approval, denial, NOID or RFE with in 15 days. 15 day clock will start ticking once USCIS receives the response to RFE. AFAIK, this holds true as of writing.

    Thanks for saying that jonty_11. It seems most members do not want to do the things requested to us by the IV core team. We just want them to provide us "service" by working to answer our personal questions which we should be asking paid lawyers, we just want to logon to the website to get the latest news and think the IV core team is simply idiot to request us to send out Thank You cards and put YouTube videos. There is no scarcity or ranting on the forums about personal situations, patriotism, logic, economic arguments, and our our personal belief system whenever we find someone in conflict with us. However, most people do not want to function as a community and want others to prepare a list of amendments for them so that they do not have to do their homework, so that they could get their green cards sooner.

    Guys, please do not post messages for the sake of posting messages. Each post takes away many man hours when thousands of people are reading the post. This is time spent away from important activity. Most members are simply posting new threads over and over again, asking the same question. I am not able to understand why do people not want to search for an answer to their question in the earlier posts. Why do we have to spend time in reading and answering same set of questions over and over again?

    And why do we ask others to put a list of all the amendments? If we want answer to this question, why can't one spend time and prepare a list and post that list sharing the information with others? No offense meant, I am simply trying to understand.

    I worked for company A as a full time employee from May 21st,07 to July 11th,08 and then company B filled my H1B transfer on June06th,08 and I joined company B on June 17th, 08 as a full time employee.

    So there is a overlap, I mean I worked for company A and Company B as a Full time employee from June 17th,08 - July 11th,08 and got full time salary from both of these companies.

    1. So will it be a issue, if companyB or some other company sponsers me a Green card in future?

    2. Can I use the experience letter issued by the CompanyA for Green Card purposes? If not then shall I mention to my attorney/Company who will sponser me Green card that I worked for companyA till June 16th,08 and there is no overlap.

    I am in the same boat, so can we use PD and I-140 from employer A even through my employment and H1B are not with Employer for a few months?



    Green card application sis always for future employment.

    Happily you can use your 140 and Priority date. No problem.Everything is under control.

    Did you ever used EAD? Just getting an EAD does not mean you were on EAD.
    Also AP does not invilidate your H1. If you are working with the H1 sponsoring employer and never used EAD, then you need not worry.

    Thanks for your replies. I am still working for my H1 job. But I did use my EAD for some time to do a part time job. I have not done any part time work since the EAD expired.

    Can I still get my pay from my H1 job or should I wait for EAD approval?

    If USCIS are not giving RN in 90 days. How they will give EAD in 90 days or they will give EAD with RN :) All these are to confuse the congress where we are complaining. :mad:
