Eco Chic - Clothing Going Green!

So we've been laying off the fluorocarbons and doing our part setting out our recycling bins once a week, but now there's an even more effective way we can aid in being more kind to our environment and that's by incorporating eco-chic (i.e. earth friendly) clothing into our wardrobes...
Just like you purchase organic greens for your tummy, you can now buy organic clothing which is made from materials raised or grown in accordance with organic agricultural standards.  Natural fibers such as cotton, jute, silk, ramie, bamboo & wool which are free from chemicals.  Yes, I said 'chemicals'... A great deal of our everyday clothing is processed with chemicals & dyes and not to mention the mass quantities of fertilizers it takes to grow cotton in mass quantity to keep up with the supply and demand quota!

The design company H&M has a new 'Conscious Collection' that's said to be both affordable and stylish.  Just like organic food costs more than 'non' organic so follows suit that organic made clothing is usually more costly as well.  I've personally never understood why it costs us more if they leave out all the nasty chemicals?!  Anyhow, here are some of their fashions & I've taken notice that there isn't too much color involved in their pieces, actually everything appears to be white or muted tones of white.  I'm gathering, color is the sacrifice for eco friendly apparel.

Choosing to 'go green' to this extent is a great concept, however as a whole, I don't think any of us are 100% ready to throw away our color wheel...
